CORPUS CHRISTI - A driver who ran a stop sign caused a morning accident that wiped out a portion of a person's fence!
This was the scene on Santa Fe at Del Mar this morning around 8:15. Officers say the driver of this truck ran the stop sign and hit the SUV.
Fortunately there were no serious injuries, but the SUV was pushed into this fence, taking out a solid brick pillar.
Police gave the driver of the pickup a ticket for failure to yield, while the homeowner is fuming mad about the constant problems the intersection, by his home, causes.
"Somebody could have been killed. We've been requesting the city to either put in a stop sign or possibly a traffic light. The feedback we're getting is they want to do more studies, it seems like they're dragging their feet," said homeowner, Tony Hauglum.
