CORPUS CHRISTI - The local environmental activist accused of hitting a bicyclist on Ocean Drive and leaving the scene will go to trial.
A Nueces County grand jury found there was enough evidence to charge 88-year old Pat Suter with causing an accident involving serious bodily injuries.
Police say she hit attorney Richard Leshin while he was riding his bike down Ocean Drive back in 2013.
Suter claims she thought she hit a trash can. It took more than 19 months for the District Attorney's office to present the case to the grand jury because of evidence processing delays.
