CORPUS CHRISTI - Hit and run investigators have impounded a silver Ford Focus that may be connected to the hit and run crash that seriously injured attorney Richard Leshin on Saturday morning.
The Focus was parked outside a home near Chamberlain and Swantner in Corpus Christi. It has obvious damage to the front passenger side of the bumper. Yesterday police said they were looking for that type of car with similar damage.
The registered owner of the car is Pat Suter. Her son, Hal, told us this afternoon that the family is fully cooperating with police. Any further comments will come from the family's attorney.
Captain Michael Alanis with the Corpus Christi Police Department says investigators did not receive any tips about the car, but were able to locate it anyway.
So far, no one is in custody.
Leshin was hit from behind while bicycling on Ocean Drive near Ropes Park around 7 a.m. He's still in the hospital with two broken vertabrae and a broken ankle.
