CORPUS CHRISTI - Police have arrested a suspicious man found hiding in a resident's recycling bin at a home near Cullen Middle School.
Officers had been searching for the man since 8:45 this morning after they received several calls of a suspicious man seen sleeping on the sidewalk in their neighborhood.
When officers found him, they confronted him. He then pushed an officer and took off running, leaving his bike and a bag behind at a home on Belmeade.
That bag contained car stereos and an ID card belonging to a student at TAMU-CC. Officers tried chasing the guy and lost him.
An hour later, the man was spotted again by some nearby residents. So, officers went back out in the neighborhood and eventually found him on Hugo Street hiding in a resident's recycling bin.
Police say the man refused to get out of the recycling bin, so they used a taser on him.
Police say 35-year-old Rocky Cooper had a warrant out for his arrest and is also charged with evading arrest
