CORPUS CHRISTI - A man suspected of burglarizing a car was found passed out on a front lawn, several blocks away from his alleged crime.
Police were called to the 3800 block of Wasserman this morning, just after 1 a.m., where they found 23-year-old Avery Rankin passed out. A make-up bag, a vehicle owner's manual, and a camera were also found. Rankin, who appeared to be drunk, was arrested.
Officers went to an address, they found in the vehicle owner's manual, in the 4000 block of Brawner Parkway, and talked to the homeowner. They discovered the items found with Rankin, were stolen, from a car, at the address on Brawner Parkway.
Rankin was charged with public intoxication and burglary to a vehicle.
