CORPUS CHRISTI - The Corpus Christi Police Department released surveillance images of a man who brazenly tried to help himself to some cash at the Snappy Foods store on the corner of Yorktown and Cimarron Boulevard around midnight Sunday.
According to police, the 20-year-old clerk had stepped outside when he noticed the suspect walk in the store and behind the register. The clerk came back inside where he was threatened with a handgun by the suspect.
The clerk opened the register so the guy could grab what he wanted and get out of the store.
The robber is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8" - 5'9", weighing 175 to 185 pounds. Surveillance images do not provide a good look at the suspect who wore a hoodie and bandana to conceal his identity.
