Suspect in Wife's Stabbing Dies in Crash

CORPUS CHRISTI - The search for a husband accused of stabbing his wife ended this morning with a fatal crash in Mission, Texas.

Corpus Christi police confirm a warrant was issued for the arrest of 40-year-old Earl Hari of Corpus after his wife was stabbed multiple times with a pocketknife. The couple's children witnessed the fight inside their home on Coronado Trail last Thursday.

Last night in Mission, a Dodge Ram slammed head-on into a utility pole. Witnesses say the driver was alive when medics arrived, but police in the valley say he died a couple of hours later.

Corporal Manuel Casas with the Mission Police Department says Hari had stab wounds to his chest and back before he got into the crash. Investigators are not sure what caused his death.

Police have not provided an update on how badly Hari's wife was injured in last week's stabbing.
