CONROE, Texas (AP) - Authorities say a Southeast Texas man accused of shooting his wife has killed himself in his home.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that Thomas Quinlan was found dead Thursday morning at his home in Montgomery, about 55 miles northwest of Houston. Quinlan was arrested after his wife, 56-year-old Donna Quinlan, was found shot multiple times in the upper torso and head.
Security at the April Sound Subdivision contacted authorities when Thomas Quinlan was found going into his home - in violation of a protective order in place.
Sheriff's deputies found Quinlan dead inside the home.
Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Dan Norris said he didn't know how Quinlan wounded himself.
Quinlan had been out of jail on $500,000 bond.
