HOUSTON - Authorities say a young man suspected of opening fire at a college campus in Texas pulled a gun after someone "bumped into" him.
Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia says 22-year-old Trey Foster was arrested Friday at home in the Dallas suburb of Plano, about 250 miles from the campus near Houston.
The shooting Tuesday at Lone Star College injured three men and terrified students. Authorities say at least 10 shots were fired.
Garcia says the shooting was sparked by "idiocy and stupidity." The sheriff says Foster confirmed that, "being bumped into is at the root of this incident."
Garcia says a gun that authorities believe Foster used was recovered during his arrest.
Foster and his friend, 22-year-old Carlton Berry, have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
