CORPUS CHRISTI - The San Patricio County Sheriffs office is investigating a wild chase from Ingleside to Gregory then back over to Aransas Pass where a suspect in a drug investigation crashed in front of a business.
Sheriff Leroy Moody says he's still working on gathering all the information himself. He was able to tell us the suspect went "berserk" during the investigation at a Dariy Queen and took off in a car, ramming other vehicles along the way.
One deputy was forced off the road during the chase, but no one was injured.
We're told the suspect was taken to the hospital to be checked out for possible mental issues. At this time he is not in police custody.
