CORPUS CHRISTI - Summer doesn't want to let go of its grip.
High temperatures over the weekend will hover in the upper 90's to near 100 in inland areas.
High pressure has built over Texas squeezing out any moisture and suppressing any rain chance through the next 5 days. The residual effects of last week's rain will make for very humid conditions. The heat index for the weekend will be hear the 105 mark. In the tropics there are two easterly waves off the coast of Africa. Slight chance of intensification.
