CORPUS CHRISTI- Upper level and surface high pressure continue to dominate our weather with light winds and abundant daytime sunshine resulting in dry conditions (no rain) and above normal temperatures. Later in the week the winds increase slightly resulting in much more humidity and not near as nice (especially at night) ahead of a very weak cold front approaching this weekend and finally slipping thru the area on Monday. Little rain is expected with the front.
Tonight we will have mainly clear skies tranquil and seasonal with a low near 70.
Wednesday will be another day of dry air caused by light winds sunny and very hot with a high of 96.
Thursday will be more humid and a bit breezier still mostly sunny and hot with a high of 94. The heat index will top 100 degrees on Thursday.
The tropics continue to be unusually quiet for this or any time of the year.
