PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN -- Gunmen killed four security guards in the Pakistani city of Peshawar today when they raided the compound of a senior local government official.
Witnesses heard two explosions, followed by gunfire, at the compound.
Tribal officials were meeting with political party officials when the attack happened.
Officials suspect suicide bombers wearing police uniforms carried out the attacks.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but the Pakistani Taliban have carried out similar operations.
Militants have stepped up attacks across Pakistan just months ahead of a national election.
