HOUSTON - A suburban Houston middle school student has been arrested after being accused of threatening to bring a gun to school.
The Houston Chronicle reports the 11-year-old fifth-grader at Rogers Middle School in Pearland was arrested Thursday on charges of making a terrorist threat after saying he would bring a weapon to school following an argument with a classmate a day earlier.
Pearland school district officials say the threat was made after class, no weapon was brought to the campus and that the student did not come to school on Thursday.
District officials say they cannot release any details about the student but indicated they are taking "appropriate measures to discipline the student."
