Younger kids can help spoon the fruit and ice-cream mixture into molds or paper cups, while older ones cut the strawberries.
Makes 10 two-ounce pops
Ingredients
1 pound strawberries
1 1/2 cups (or 3/4 pint-sized container) vanilla ice cream, softened
Finely grated zest of 1 orange (optional)
Directions
1. Hull and half the strawberries. Place in a food processor and process until smooth.
2. Add the ice cream and orange zest and process until blended.
3. Spoon into pop molds and freeze until firm, about 2 hours or up to 1 week. If you don’t have molds, you can use small paper cups and wooden sticks topped with foil to hold the sticks in place.
