CORPUS CHRISTI - The woman believed to be involved in last month's murder of a convenience store owner won't be going to trial just yet.
Del Victoria Cavazos was arraigned this morning. She pleaded not guilty to charges of Tampering with Evidence. Just as the judge set her trial date, District Attorney Mark Skurka asked him to wait until the other two men in this case are indicted. The judge agreed.
Cavazos, Arturo Navarro and Daniel Garcia were arrested last month after 59-year old Ben Mustafa was shot and killed at his store on Ayers and Brownlee. Investigators say Daniel Garcia said he shot Mustafa with an assault rifle and Navarro admitted to being involved. Cavazos admitted she was the getaway driver.
All remain in the Nueces County Jail.
