CORPUS CHRISTI - A convenience store owner charged for the murder of a man who was stealing beer is in court this morning.
Rodney Duve's held on a $35,000 bond for the shooting death of David Garcia, 39, over the weekend. He's already posted bond, but due to some confusion he was still being held.
Duve will wear an ankle monitor on so officials can keep track of his movements.
This morning, the Medical Examiner identified Garcia as the victim in the shooting, stating he was shot in the head.
Police say Garcia was trying to leave Duve's Quick Stop with stolen beer when he was shot.
Further details on what happened, or if the men had prior encounters with each other, has not been released.
