CORPUS CHRISTI- It sure didn't feel like spring on this second Sunday in March but we needed the rain and there is more in the forecast before the sun returns later this week. We had one weak upper level disturbance moving through last night with about a half inch of beneficial rain but the main disturbance now in northern Mexico has yet to arrive and will bring more rain to South Texas Monday afternoon and evening and ending late Monday night. As the disturbance passes to our east, drier air and sunshine will briefly return to the area.
Tonight will be cloudy and chilly with occasional mainly light showers and a low near 50.
Monday expect cloudy skies to continue damp and cool with showers and thundershowers developing during the afternoon and evening and a high of only 60.
Monday night expect thundershowers likely (especially near the coast) stilly chilly with a low of 52.
Tuesday will be much better with gradual clearing and the sunshine returning along with much warmer temperatures and light winds with a high 78.
**a dry but windy cold front arrives Wednesday morning keeping temperatures colder than normal thru the end of this week.**
