State Basketball Rankings Showcase 8 Local Teams

CORPUS CHRISTI - February is an important month for high school basketball teams as district play wraps up and the postseason starts up, making the rankings that much more important. Today the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches released their first poll of the month with eight area teams in the Top 25.

Once again the Port Aransas boys claimed the best individual rankings sitting at 4th in Class A, while in Class 2A the Aransas Pass boys are 11th along with Skidmore-Tynan sitting 22nd.

On the girls side the Port Aransas Girls are 9th in Class A, Aransas Pass is 22nd in Class 2A while Taft is 25th, in Class 3A West Oso is number 11, and in Class 4A Ray is ranked 24th.
