Staples St. Utility Work will Divert Traffic near Hamlin

CORPUS CHRISTI - Watch for detours on S. Staples behind Hamlin Middle School on Sunday night. Construction crews and American Electrical Power will conduct utility work on the stretch of road between Hamlin Drive and Peerman Place.

All traffic heading towards the Staples/Doddridge intersection will be detoured onto Hamlin Drive, down Pope Drive, then to Peerman Pl. before being allowed to return to Staples.

The work was scheduled for Tuesda night, but has since been rescheduled for Sunday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday.
