CORPUS CHRISTI- It was a spectacular weather day, the kind and scope which is very rare here in south Texas. Today we started out with very dry (desert-like) and light southwesterly winds. We always have our hottest temperatures when our surface winds are out of the west or southwest the majority of the day. Thursday morning with light winds and dry air we got down to 31 degrees officially for Corpus Christi. This Friday afternoon the temperature rose to an amazing 91 record setting degrees. The old record was 88 back in 2005.
A weak cold front moves thru this evening so it will be chilly but seasonal with a northeast breeze so fog will not be much of a problem and under moon-lit skies we will have a low of 49.
Saturday expect sunny skies with only light to moderate winds but off the water so beautiful but much cooler and a high of 78.
Expect dense fog Saturday night damp and noticeably milder with a low of 55.
Sunday we will have variable sunshine (with more clouds and much cooler temperatures as always near the coast) breezy and warmer with a high of 81.
Enjoy your weekend and the Spring-like weather.
