CORPUS CHRISTI - Security officials at Christus Spohn South on Saratoga planned to review security tapes to find out who fired a shot inside the hospital.
Police were called to the hospital Thursday to investigate a bullet hole found in the second floor doctor's sleeping area.
The shot had gone thruogh the door of the sleeping area and went through a refrigerator before hitting a wall and landing on the floor. Hospital security officials told police the shot appears to have been fired by someone lying on a bed in the sleeping area.

This is so sad to see that no one (especially the administration at Spohn South) show a total disregard for the people in this community by not actually issuing a statement or at the very least explaining this situation and assuring the community that legal actions are taken against the person who brought and discharged a firearm within the hospital. By now there should be some information on who ever did this and that person should be prosecuted. It speaks poorly for the Christus Spohn Hospital System which prides itself on it's community involvement yet takes no action whenever patient's, employee's and the general public are in danger.
