CORPUS CHRISTI -- A celebration of life today at the Bay Area Corpus Christi Medical Center, as doctors, nurses, and families gathered at the 18th annual Neonate Reunion.
Today's circus theme, "Bay Area Babies - The Greatest Babies on Earth," recognized all of those who graduated from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit complete with food, entertainment, games, and prizes.
It's an event that not only allows nurses and doctors to see how well their patients are doing but it also creates a special bond between families and the medical staff.
Mother Shauna Rissmiller said, "They really made me feel special and helped me learn and feel comfortable taking home such tiny little babies. And they became friends, they became like family. So, we visit and still keep in touch with a lot them."
