CORPUS CHRISTI -- Plenty of festive events kicked off the holiday season in Corpus Christi today.
Children on the city's westside got to be a part of a special festival.
5,000 children received invitations to the 29th Annual Navidad de Los Ninos sponsored by the West Side Business Association.
It was held at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts and Education Center.
So many fun things going on there this afternoon like games, a moon jump, booths just for the children, 200 kids even received bikes and Driscoll Children's Hospital handed out free bike helmets.
Gilda Ramirez said, "It means a lot for the children on the west side who may not have a Christmas. They'll all go home with a goody bag with books, with possibly a bicycle and we're also going to be giving away a lot of toys."
