CORPUS CHRISTI - The Rockport native held for several weeks in South Sudan may soon be heading home after being held on charges of intent to kidnap and murder a man from India.

52-year-old Mark McCabe, who now calls the New Orleans area home, went before a judge in the newly formed African country today where the charges were overthrown based on a lack of evidence.

Family members say McCabe will return to court on December 6th to finalize the judgement. Hopefully, he'll be able to return to the U.S. Shortly afterwards.

McCabe moved to South Sudan for his construction business.
