CORPUS CHRISTI - The signs say 'No Left Turn.' And they can be seen up and down South Staples where all the street construction's going on, between Williams and Holly.
But while our cameras were there Monday afternoon, several drivers seemed to ignore the signs and turned left anyway, including a man on a motorcycle.
"Be honest with you, I couldn't tell. The traffic and the drizzling rain and the motorcycle windshield, it was hard to tell," he told us.
The city's Traffic Engineering Department says they expect the construction project to be done this summer.
In the meantime, CCPD says they're going to have more of a presence in the area.
Think about this. Police say the fine could be as much as $500 for making an illegal turn in a clearly marked construction zone.
With traffic down to one lane each way, turning left into the local businesses slows down the traffic flow behind you.
And remember, the construction wont be done till summer.
