South Fork Apartment Residents Deal With Raw Sewage

CORPUS CHRISTI - Residents at the South Fork Apartments off I-37 near Calallen are dealing with a stinky situation as raw sewage overflows into their yards.
For the past few months, residents at the South Fork Apartments have been dealing with an overflow of raw sewage.
"Since I've been here, it's been like that the whole time."
This resident asked us not to reveal his identity, for fear of getting into trouble with management. But he had no problem telling me about the nasty waste pouring into his yard.
"Yeah, it comes over, and ends up spilling out and goes over there," he said.
A South Fork resident sent us black and white cell phone footage of the overflow earlier this morning. And it's not just human feces coming from this faulty drain.
"It gets clogged up with condoms and tampons."
This resident says the problem is a regular occurrence and it is hurting his social life. But while I was talking to the man, one of the managers walked up and interrupted us. It seems our cameras were not welcome here, but I wasn't leaving without some sort of explanation.
I asked her, "We're just here about the poo pouring out, can you say anything at all about it? I mean, has it been fixed?" She replied, "Yeah, it's getting fixed, but you need to get on the street."
This manager wasn't up for answering all of my questions but she did take the time to defend the head manager who wasn't on the property at the time.
"The manager is trying to to fix it. She ain't Superwoman, she's trying," she said.
Meaning these residents will have to deal with the occasional stink, until management finally fixes the problem.
