Sonic Accepting Donations of Stuffed Animals to Help Kids in Court

CORPUS CHRISTI - Sonic is teaming up with County Court at Law Judge Brent Chesney to gather new or gently used stuffed animals that will help children who appear in his courtroom.

The restaurant's offering a free medium drink or slush to anyone who donates an stuffed toy.

Judge Chesney's court handles family law cases, Child Protective Services and adoptions. He hands out stuffed animals to children to help ease the tension of appearing in court.

The offer from Sonic is good only for the month of September. To help out, just make a donation at any of the 13 Sonic restaurants in the Coastal Bend.
