HOUSTON (AP) - The memorial for the four Houston firefighters killed last week in a massive hotel fire has started.
The victims' families, along with city officials and firefighters from across the country, are gathering in Reliant Stadium, where as many as 40,000 people were expected to remember those killed Friday.
The attendees stood somberly as the service began Wednesday morning. Firefighters throughout the stadium saluted as the victim's families processed in one by one.
Friday was deadliest day in the Houston Fire Department's 118-year history.
