CORPUS CHRISTI - A soldier from Corpus Christi was killed in Killeen Wednesday night after he was thrown from a motorcycle he was riding in.
DPS says 26 year old James Ryan Kurth lost control of the motorcycle while taking a curve, left the roadway and was thrown from the bike.
He died at the scene.
According to the DPS report, he was not wearing a helmet.
Kurth's friends tell us he is a 2004 graduate of Flour Bluff High School and that he joined the Army that same year.
