KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - Texas A&M-Kingsville third year softball head coach Blake Miller announced the signing of four student-athletes during the early signing period on Thursday.
The four signees are Ali Bodnar, Taylor McGill, Taylor Munguia and Kym Rigard.
Bodnar, a corner infielder from Las Vegas, Nevada, attends Green Valley High School. She is a three-time Second Team All-Southeast State honoree. She was named to the Las Vegas Review Journal Head of the Class. She has been in the top three in every offensive category for her team for three years. She led GVHS to a divisional championship and regional runner-up as a junior. She is an honor roll student and plans to study Kinesiology and Physical Therapy.
McGill, a catcher from China, Texas, attends Hardin-Jefferson High School. She is a three-time all-district performer. She has been named to three all-tournament teams in the last two years and earned the Blue Hawk Award for playing three varsity sports in an academic year. She is also a highly decorated volleyball player earned all-district honors four times. She is a three-time Academic All-District 21-3A honoree and a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to study Chemical Engineering.
Munguia, an infielder from Houston, Texas, attends Cy-Ridge High School. She is a three-time all-district infielder and earned first team honors as a junior. She has been the Cy-Ridge team most valuable player all three seasons. She is an honor roll student who plans to study Physical Therapy.
Rigard, a shortstop from Humble, Texas, attends Atascocita High School. She earned honorable mention all-district honors as a sophomore and first team honors as a junior. She led AHS to the state playoffs last year. She is an honor roll student who plans to study Pre-Med.
