PAPUA NEW GUINEA - Passengers on a flight from Australia to Papua New Guinea were shocked to learn there was a snake on their plane Thursday.
It was on the plane, not inside the plane.
Specifically, a nine-foot python appeared on the wing about an hour into the Qantas flight.
A crew member told Australian media that the initial reaction when the slithery stowaway appeared was "you've got to be kidding."
The airline said the reptile did not impact the safe operation of the aircraft and the flight arrived safely, but the snake did not.
It was found hanging from the wing - dead on arrival.
