CORPUS CHRISTI - Much of South Texas missed out on the opportunity for some rainfall early this morning with only our northern counties seeing a few showers and thunderstorms. Most of that activity has moved off into the Gulf.
Today, a cold front will sweep the area in the late morning/early afternoon hours and there is a slight possibility of seeing a few thunderstorms forms as it moves by. However, I am anticipating the clouds beginning to break and afternoon highs to get into the upper 70s to lower 80s. Winds will be on the breezy side around 10-20mph and gusting from the north-northeast.
Tonight, a few clouds will remain overhead with cooler temperatures in the store as they drop into the middle to upper 50s inland with 60s along the coast.
Clouds will continue to clear out by Thursday and sunny skies and a warming trend will commence by the time the weekend arrives.
