CORPUS CHRISTI - Work starts next Tuesday on the Shoreline Boulevard realignment project. For the next five months, contractors will divert southbound traffic on Shoreline between Furman and Schatzell. Everyone will be directed over to Water Street which rejoins Shoreline after the road work.
The full project, which was approved by voters as part of a $13 million bond in 2008, will narrow Shoreline Boulevard from Louisiana Avenue to Buford Street by reducing it to four lanes from six.
The project is expected to be completed by November 2014.
