CORPUS CHRISTI - Law enforcement from across the Coastal Bend joined 70 children today during the 15th annual Shop with a Cop event at the Walmart in Flour Bluff.
Students from Flour Bluff Intermediate and Smith Elementary took part in the program that pairs representatives from local police, sheriffs departments and federal agencies.
They're given a budget of $120 to spend on clothes, toiletries, and a toy for each child. This was the second of many trips officers will make this month. Thanks to generous donations, almost 400 underprivileged kids are receiving help this year.
