CORPUS CHRISTI - John Sharp was in town Friday morning to drum up support for his United State Senate campaign.
If Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison resigns from her seat, Sharp plans to run on the Democratic ticket.
If elected Sharp hopes to balance the federal budget, guarantee affordable college tuition and create a law that requires the government to buy goods produced in the United States.
Democratic Candidate John Sharp said, "As long as our government is saying it does not matter where it comes from, we will buy it. Then we are the only chumps on the block falling for that and every other country is doing different then we are putting our citizens in a serious manufacturing disadvantage."
