CORPUS CHRISTI - Several firefighters are at the scene of a fire on Weaver Street near NAS-Corpus Christi.
According to fire investigators, explosions behind a trailer home on the 900 block around 2:30 p.m leveled the shed. The back wall of the home was also knocked down.
The homeowner was sleeping inside the trailer home, but was able to get out of his home. He is said to be okay.
Fire officials are investigating whether a spark from a welder's torch or a carelessly discarded cigarette sparked the fire.
Meanwhile, firefighters with the Corpus Christi Fire Department, the Volunteer Fire Department and the NAS-CC Fire Department were able to get the fire under control in 30 minutes.
Right now they are still checking for hot spots in the area.
