Seized Pit Bull Ready For Adoption

CORPUS CHRISTI - A pit bull mix found with an embedded chain around her neck is now ready to find a happy forever home.

As we previously informed, Annabelle the pit bull was taken in by Animal Control officers from a home on Bluebonnet Drive after it had been left chained in a yard, and the chain became embedded around her neck causing a deep wound.

The veterinarian in charge of her care, Dr. Jennifer Rizzo, said the dog had a laceration around seventy percent of her neck. Fortunately, there were no vital structures exposed.

Although animals who are chained for an extended period of time become fearful and socially introverted, Annabelle has proven to be quite the opposite. She seems to be a very happy, and is a loving dog.

Another dog also taken from the house known as "Zues" is in good health, and also ready to be placed in a loving home.

The public is encourage to come forward and adopt these pets. Individuals interested in providing these pets a home, and the proper nurturing they require can call (361) 826-4630, or stop by 2626 Holly road.
