CORPUS CHRISTI -- A search for a known gang member turned up a lot more than police bargained for.
Authorities found cocaine, crack cocaine and all the stuff to make inside a home on the city's west side.
Gang investigators and the U.S. Marshals were originally looking for 36-year-old Richard Lara who was wanted for assaulting a 41-year-old man.
Officers showed up to a home in the 300 block of Hiawatha where they found Richard's brother, 35-year-old Roland Lara, as well as cocaine and manufacturing paraphernalia. Officers also found a little over $1,000 in cash and a couple of boxes of ammunition in the home.
They arrested Richard when he showed up at a home on Lawton.He faces charges of assault and his brother faces drug charges.
