CORPUS CHRISTI - Our cameras went inside the Schlitterbahn site to get a tour.
It's really starting to take shape and we got a look at what the new water park will look like.
Tiki huts have been built. Beach style pools are in place, and the main three story building is well under construction.
Jeff Henry, one of Schlitterbahn's owners gave us the tour.
Before you get to the heated beach style pool with a swim up bar, you have to walk past this the main building.
That building will not only serve as the main entrance but also as a check in area, club member area, meeting space, and even restaurant.
So, that's where you'd check in if you stayed on site.
The hill country style theme park still has a ways to go, but the owner says they are working around the clock to have everything done for their grand opening in late May.
"The park is going to be really really good. I mean the stuff that we're building is nice. It's big. It's going to have a lot of impact. I think that, I think kids, I think that people of all ages are going to enjoy it," Henry says.
Henry added that within the next few weeks people can expect to see a lot more buildings popping up around what will be Schlitterbahn Corpus Christi.
The park is set to open in May.
