SAN DIEGO - Vaquero Running Back Luiz Lopez has become the second area standout named to the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star game this summer. Lopez joins Sinton's Derek Shedd.
He led the state in rushing, racking up 2,972 yards to go along with 41 touchdowns. "The Beast" as he was nicknamed, had three different 300+ yard rushing games.
As of now he has yet to sign with a college for football, but is leaning towards the Junior College scene, in specific Blinn.
The game will be played Tuesday, July 30th at Texas Christian University's Amon Carter Stadium.
