S.P.I.D. Crash Kills King Graduate and Man Who Stopped to Help

CORPUS CHRISTI - Two young men are dead and two other people hospitalized after a horrific accident last night on SPID near Paul Jones.

The chain of accidents began when King High School graduate Everett Bailey, 20, was speeding down the highway and lost control while dealing with a mechanical issue, according to police.

Bailey's Isuzu Rodeo flipped and Bailey was thrown from the vehicle. Family members and police tell us Luis Ramirez Jr, 27, stopped to help, but was struck and killed when a pickup truck came through and hit the Isuzu.

The driver of the pickup was also injured in the collision. It's not clear how a fourth person was injured.

A family member in Fort Worth tells us Ramirez only came to Corpus Christi two days ago for work and some fishing. Ramirez leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
