(Corpus Christi) - We know exercise burns calories, but who knew it could raise money? The Ronald McDonald House is $2,500 richer and they raised all of the money just by having people come and work out. Pinnacle Performance and Fitness on Alameda hosted "Burpee for a Cause." For 90 seconds, people had to do a burpee. Every time they completed the exercise, they got a dollar. Their goal was to raise $2,500 dollars and they reached that goal in just 15 minutes. One man came in and raised $1,500 alone. The fitness center is hosting other events until July to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House.
