ROCKPORT - On Tuesday afternoon Rockport infielder Logan Polasek signed her national letter of intent to play softball at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana. Polasek becomes just the fifth Lady Pirate softball player to ever sign an athletic scholarship, and following the ceremony she was overcome by emotion.
"Well it's a lot of pride for me to come from a small school and to go far away and play softball and to represent Rockport in college. This is just a huge moment," she said with tears in her eyes.
Softball games officially begin next week.
