Robstown Man Facing Charges for Early Morning Disturbance

ROBSTOWN - The man accused of causing a lot of trouble for deputies early this morning now faces criminal charges following a failed suicide attempt.

Nueces County deputies were called out to Western Avenue for a reportedly drunken man arguing with family members. He had barricaded himself inside the home as deputies tried to calm the situation down.

Investigators say he pulled out a gun, waved it in the air, then put it to his head and pulled the trigger. The bullet just grazed his head. He was taken to the hospital by Halo Flight just in case.

As soon as he's out of the hospital, the man will be charged with deadly conduct. His name has not been released by police as of this afternoon.
