ROBSTOWN- Some elementary kids in Robstown are working on a special assignment.
They are painting hundreds of tiles for the new RTA bus station in Robstown.
Trucks, along with planes, trains, and automobiles are being created on tiles by 3rd and 4th graders at San Pedro Elementary.
The kids at San Pedro painted 125 tiles today, the rest of them will be painted at the 3 other elementary schools in Robstown.
The students are excited to be creating the artwork that will be used in the new bus station at Avenue A and 4th street
Currently there's just a bus bench there, but soon the station will be transformed into a fully enclosed station with air condtioning, plenty of lighting at night, and the imaginations of the children.
Ground breaking on the new station will be held later this month, it should be complete by the fall.
