ROBSTOWN - Public concern for the horses found in bad shape in Robstown is doing more harm than good. Jason Garcia with Robstown Animal Care says residents in the area are asked not to go onto the property and feed the horses.
On Monday, two horses were found dead and 20 others had differing health issues. Garcia says today, two people were caught feeding the horses something other than hay.
A vet put the horses on a hay diet, and feeding them something other than that, could kill them.
Garcia says that although they appreciate the concerns of the public, the situation is being handled and another veterinarian will be out examining the horses tomorrow.
