KINGSVILLE, Texas - Texas A&M-Kingsville sophomore high jumper Jeron Robinson was named the USTFCCCA Division II National Athlete Of The Week honors it was announced on Monday.
The sophomore continues to raise the bar in the high jump as he cleared 2.26m (7'5") at the Javelina Twilight Invitational this past Saturday. He entered the weekend with Division II national best of 2.20m (7'3"). Robinson broke the school record in the process. His new best is the seventh-best height in Division II history and fourth best this season amongst collegiate jumpers at all levels.
Last week, teammate Jordan Yamoah received national honorable mention.
Kingsville heads to the Rice Twilight Invitational on Saturday.
