CORPUS CHRISTI - A man wearing bright red reflective althletic shoes is wanted for robbing two stores at knifepoint last week.
Surveillance images released by police show a Hispanic male, 20-30 years old, wearing sunglasses, a black Callaway ball cap with white lettering, a grey hoodie, gray shorts, and bright red shoes.
On Thursday March 7th, the man walked into the CVS at Alameda and Glazebrook Drive. He threatened the clerk with a knife as he demanded cash. Afterwards, he ran off down Glazebrook.
Two nights later the same man walked into the Walgreens at Staples and Doddridge after 2:30 a.m. He asked for a pack of cigarettes, but as the clerk turned around he showed a knife and threatened to stab her.
Surveillance images from this robbery appear to show the man wearing a black ball cap with 'Caalaway' in white lettering.
Police say the clerk had some trouble opening the register which led the man to threaten her once again. He was eventually given some cash and left.
Police say he left the Walgreens parking lot in a white sedan.
If you can identify the man, call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS, or submit a tip online at www.888tips.com.
