River Flood Warning

River Flood Warnings are up for the Nueces River Valley. Residents in areas south of Three Rivers to the mouth of Lake Corpus Christi should prepare for major flooding over the next few days.

The Live Oak County Sheriff's Office will be alerting residents along the river bottom today about the rising waters. River forecasts predict a sharp rise in the river beginning today.

The crest of the flood is forecast to be 40.1 ft. from Saturday through Monday.

At 40 ft. major lowland flooding will affect the subdivisions near the Live Oak airport.

Flood waters are expect to remain high for at least the next 5 days.
